If WINNIE-THE-POOH: BLOOD AND HONEY left you hungry for more homicidal Disney characters, check this out.
Director Sean Haitz gave us a first look at the latest poster (by Rafael Araujo) and some behind-the-scenes pics (by Vinicius Zinn) from THUMPER’S REVENGE, his horror/comedy short film that just screened a teaser at Apopkon Comic Con & Pop Culture Convention in Florida. Written by Haitz and Mark Cerulli, it stars Johnny Hoops, Clair Brauer, Haitz and Aaron Prager. The synopsis/tagline: “Screams echo in the meadow and blood will spill when hunters take aim at Bambi from the hill. They can run and they can plead, but Thumper is about to make them bleed.”
“I was totally inspired by WINNIE-THE-POOH: BLOOD AND HONEY,” Haitz says, though he came up with a more plausible concept for his project. “I thought of an alternative route with the Disney characters: Let’s laser focus on Thumper, which I felt was a fun name for a title. I also thought, let’s have Bambi and Thumper as humans who are Disney freaks who cosplay in the forest dressing up like the characters.
