The creature feature begins shooting in South Carolina in June.

The people behind THE LAST FOOTPRINT gave RUE MORGUE the first look at some concept art as well as info about the movie, a found-footage take on the Bigfoot legend. Written and directed by T.J. Robinson (2022’s THE WENDIGO) of Morbid Entertainment, it will star Daniel John Kearney, Lucas Dunaway, Brandon O’Hanley, T.J. Campbell, Hunter Redfern (who’s executive-producing the film with Robinson), Christiaan Voldstad, Mario Evans and Tyler Gene. The synopsis: “A small documentary crew sets out to investigate the infamous York Howls in York, SC. When they join a search party deep in the woods, they soon realize the truth is out there–and it’s hunting them.”

“With THE LAST FOOTPRINT, we set out to do what few horror films have achieved: make Bigfoot terrifying again,” the filmmakers tell RUE MORGUE. “Stripping away the pop-culture interpretations and bringing the legend back to its primal, nightmarish roots, this film will embrace raw, atmospheric horror, relentless tension, and the terrifying power of the unknown. THE LAST FOOTPRINT will leave audiences questioning what lurks just beyond the treeline.

“Filming in York, SC, where the lore and plot of the film are set, offers a stunning yet eerie backdrop with its vast countryside and dense wooded areas–perfect for a Bigfoot horror film. The town of Rock Hill, SC has been incredibly supportive, with many private business owners showing love for the project. They have generously provided sponsorships, covering meals and filming locations to help bring this vision to life.” Keep your eyes here for more on THE LAST FOOTPRINT as it progresses!
