Hot from its acclaimed festival run, LGBTQ thriller GANYMEDE makes its North American debut on cable VOD and digital HD across the United States and Canada on August 6. Directed by filmmakers Colby Holt and Sam Probst from Holt’s screenplay, GANYMEDE stars Teen Choice nominee Jordan Dow as Lee Fletcher, a high school wrestling star in a small Southern town who develops an attraction to an openly gay classmate (Pablo Castelblanco). Struggling with his emotions and the expectations of his family, he soon finds himself stalked by a gruesome entity that invades his mind. Robyn Lively (Teen Witch, Twin Peaks) and Joe Chrest (Lisa FrankensteinStranger Things) also star.

The film’s distributor, VMI Releasing, recently shared an exclusive clip with RUE MORGUE. In this harrowing scene, Doww undergoes an invasive “conversion treatment” at the hands of a sinister pastor played by David Koechner (Anchorman, The Office).

GANYMEDE premiered at the 41st Reeling International Film Festival, winning the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature Film. The film went on to win the Chattanooga Film Festival’s Pride Award. Look for GANYMEDE on Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video and other VOD services, beginning August 6.
