Reality and fantasy blur in the most terrifying ways in HAUNT SEASON, the shocking new movie coming soon from Epic Pictures’ specialty horror label DREAD. Written and directed by Jake Jarvi (The Rob Scallon channel, The Platoon of Power Squadron, The Girl), the film is the chilling tale of a masked killer on a homicidal rampage in a suburban haunted attraction. As the body count rises, the scare actors must determine the difference between gruesome Halloween fakery and brutal murder as they try to survive the night.

HAUNT SEASON, which stars YouTube phenomenon Rob Scallon, was shot on location in a real working Midwest haunt during the Halloween season and relies heavily on practical effects and makeup for its spectacularly gory kills. “Partnering with a real haunted house gave us incredible insight into the world of haunters, and there were so many parallels to our world of indie production,” says Jarvi. “[HAUNT SEASON is] about creative people doing what it takes to turn their dreams into reality. Except in this case one person’s dream is killing a whole lot of people.”

“DREAD is the leader in Halloween films, and with HAUNT SEASON arriving just in time, it promises to kick off the spookiest time of the year in terrifying style. Brace yourself for a cinematic thrill that only DREAD can deliver,” Epic Pictures CEO Patrick Ewald adds.

HAUNT SEASON begins a limited theatrical run on October 4. On October 8, the film will be available to rent or purchase on video-on-demand (VOD)
