Exclusive clip: Gruesome details are revealed in “THE EXECUTION”

And they’re all the more chilling because the movie is based on a true case.

4Digital Media is bringing THE EXECUTION to VOD and digital platforms next Tuesday, May 28. Based on the crimes of Russian serial killer Andrei Chikatilo, a.k.a. “The Butcher of Rostov,” who killed more than 50 women and children before finally being captured, the film won strong reviews following its world premiere at Fantastic Fest. Lado Kvataniya directed from a script he wrote with Olga Gorodetskaya; Niko Tavadze, Evgeniy Tkachuk, Daniil Spivakovskiy and Aglaya Tarasova star. The synopsis: “For 10 years the country’s most wanted serial killer has evaded police. Even when he’s finally caught, nobody can prove his guilt. As the manhunt intensifies, the investigation grows increasingly personal between detective and suspect.”
