George A. Romero’s zombies are stalking the big screen again this spring.

New Amsterdam Entertainment and Red Band Releasing have announced that DAWN OF THE DEAD is being rereleased across the U.S. and Canada to mark the 45th anniversary of its North American premiere on April 12, 1979 in Pittsburgh. The undead landmark will open in theaters, drive-ins and, yes, malls–including the Monroeville Mall where it was filmed–beginning April 12, 2024. It will play throughout April to the end of May; to check out the ever-growing list of participating venues, click here.

To mark the occasion, limited-edition merchandise is currently on sale, including a poster featuring the art (by Paul Mann) seen below, available in three different color screenprinted variations at justinishmael.com, and apparel sporting that design at Fright Rags.
