In Christopher Smith’s (Triangle) latest, Jena Malone (The Neon Demon) joins forces with Danny Huston (American Horror Story) in a film co-written by Smith and Laurie Cook. CONSECRATION tells the story of Grace (Malone), who goes to the Mount Saviour Convent in Scotland after the suspicious death of her brother, a priest. Once there, she uncovers murder, sacrilege, and a disturbing truth about her own past. According to Smith’s notes on the religious horror film, the genesis of CONSECRATION began in 2017 with the concept that if someone died in church, it was deemed unholy until reconsecrated. Check out the film in theaters on February 10, and keep your eyes peeled for a review from yours truly!
