The body-horror film is continuing its acclaimed festival tour.
A queer absurdist horror short from writer-actor Sophie Sagan-Gutherz and director Daisy Rosato, the film takes aim at performative allyship, moral posturing, and the messy contradictions of progressive spaces. POSSUM is screening at Slamdance Film Festival this week.
This trio of short films - "The Snow Leopard," "Stomach It," and "Detox" - take the horror(-adjacent) genre in wildly different directions, each offering a fresh spin on familiar fears.
Fresh from screening the film at Beyond Fest, Russian writer/director Dima Barch is thrilled to finally share his short with a large audience via Screambox and Bloody Bites.
Called “…the future of queer story-telling” (Mary Beth McAndrews, Dread Central), THE POWER OF THE STRIKE is inspired by the anxiety of fleeing, alienation, and vulnerability of a queer person as the Other, as well as Barch’s favorite filmmakers.
