“BRING HER BACK,” from the “TALK TO ME” team, debuts a trailer and new poster

One of the year’s most eagerly awaited horror films looks like it’s going to be pretty damn creepy.
BRING HER BACK, the new film from TALK TO ME directors Danny and Michael Philippou, will open in theaters everywhere from A24 May 30. Once again written by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman, it stars Billy Barratt, Sora Wong, Jonah Wren Phillips, Sally-Anne Upton, Stephen Phillips, Mischa Heywood and Sally Hawkins. The synopsis: “A brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother.”
Michael Gingold (RUE MORGUE's Head Writer) has been covering the world of horror cinema for over three decades, and in addition to his work for RUE MORGUE, he has been a longtime writer and editor for FANGORIA magazine and its website. He has also written for BIRTH.MOVIES.DEATH, SCREAM, IndieWire.com, TIME OUT, DELIRIUM, MOVIEMAKER and others. He is the author of the AD NAUSEAM books (1984 Publishing) and THE FRIGHTFEST GUIDE TO MONSTER MOVIES (FAB Press), and he has contributed documentaries, featurettes and liner notes to numerous Blu-rays, including the award-winning feature-length doc TWISTED TALE: THE UNMAKING OF "SPOOKIES" (Vinegar Syndrome).
Director Brad Anderson says he's still trying to get Session 1, a prequel to his 2001 cult favorite Session 9, off the ground — a passion project the rights holder has already said no to once.
