We’ve been waiting too long for writer/director Bobby Miller’s unique and fascinating THE CLEANSE (previously titled THE MASTER CLEANSE) to become visible to the masses following its festival run, and now it’s on its way. Read on for the info, trailer and poster.

Vertical Entertainment releases THE CLEANSE to select theaters and VOD May 4. The film stars Johnny Galecki (THE BIG BANG THEORY), Anna Friel, Anjelica Huston, Oliver Platt, Kyle Gallner (A HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT), Diana Bang and Kevin J. O’Connor (LORD OF ILLUSIONS), with some unusual makeup effects by Nicholas Podbrey and Werner Pretorius. According to the official synopsis, Galecki “plays Paul Berger, an unemployed, down-and-out, heartbroken man searching for happiness. When Paul sees an ad for a spiritual retreat promising to restart your life, he immediately signs up, hoping to cleanse himself and fix his broken life. But after only a few days, he discovers the cleanse is releasing more than just everyday toxins…a lot more.”
