The horror-disc monsters at Arrow Video are putting out a new special-edition Blu-ray of Frank Henenlotter’s classic BASKET CASE next year, and they’ve got one of the RUE MORGUE team involved.

This new release of Henenlotter’s debut feature, in which Duane Bradley (Kevin VanHentenryck) and his severed, stunted Siamese twin Belial embark on a gory rampage of revenge, streets February 27. It will present the movie in a brand new 4K restoration from the original 16mm negative by no less than the Museum of Modern Art! The 1080p high-definition transfer will be supplemented by a basket full of special features, among them a whole bunch of new material (including some by RM’s Michael Gingold). The full rundown is as follows:

• Brand new audio commentary by writer/director Frank Henenlotter and star Kevin VanHentenryck
• “BASKET CASE 3-1/2: An Interview with Duane Bradley”: Frank Henenlotter revisits Duane Bradley decades after the events of the original BASKET CASE
