Acclaimed Mexican chiller “HUESERA: THE BONE WOMAN” gets a teaser trailer, poster and release dates

The festival award-winner is now set to play multiple venues.

XYZ Films has announced that it will bring HUESERA: THE BONE WOMAN to theaters February 10 and VOD February 16; the movie will then be available on Shudder after that. Winner of the Best New Narrative Director and Nora Ephron Awards at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and the Blood Window Award for Best Feature Film and the Citizen Kane Award for Best Directorial Revelation at the Sitges Film Festival, as well as many rave reviews (including ours), it was directed by Michelle Garza Cervera from a script she wrote with Abia Castillo. Natalia Solián, Alfonso Dosal, Mayra Batalla Mercedes Hernández, Aída López (Capadocia) and Martha Claudia Moreno. According to the official synopsis, Solián plays “Valeria, a young woman expecting her first child who becomes cursed by a sinister entity. Plunged into a terrifying and dangerous world, a group of witches emerge as her only hope for safety and salvation, but not without grave risk.”
