“Good Luck Trolls” Line Adds Chucky, Michael Myers and the Universal Monsters

A new wave of Good Luck Trolls figures spotted on shelves at Five Below this week gives several of horror’s most recognizable faces the wild-haired, saucer-eyed troll treatment, extending a novelty mashup format that has become a recurring fixture of the Halloween retail season.

The lineup includes Chucky and Tiffany Valentine from the Child’s Play franchise, Michael Myers and Laurie Strode as they appeared in Halloween II, and a trio of Universal Monsters in Frankenstein’s Monster, the Bride of Frankenstein and Count Dracula, alongside Katherine from The Exorcist: Believer. The figures come from Headstart, the company behind the licensed Good Luck Trolls line, and are being sold individually at Five Below and through fivebelow.com.

Alongside the trolls, CultureFly has put out a companion set of Flip’ems keychain figures in the same horror vein, including Chucky, Pennywise from It Chapter Two, Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Ghost Face from the Scream franchise. Each roughly three inch figure flips between four interchangeable faces and comes on a wrist strap; individual figures are available through retailers including Entertainment Earth.

Pricing appears to vary by figure and retailer, with individual Good Luck Trolls figures spotted for as little as $5 at Five Below and as much as $20 through other sellers, while CultureFly’s Flip’ems run roughly $10 apiece. Neither Headstart nor CultureFly had put out an official press release as of this writing, so shoppers should confirm exact availability and pricing at retail before ordering.

The horror flavoured troll mashup isn’t entirely new: NBCUniversal partnered with Kidrobot on a limited, convention exclusive line combining Good Luck Trolls with Chucky, the Bride of Frankenstein and Michael Myers back in 2022. This wider retail rollout, with a larger cast of monsters spread across mainstream shelves, marks the concept’s broadest push yet, just in time for Halloween.
