It’s a brutal crime thriller suffused with horrific elements.
THE DESPERATE is the latest production from Cut 2 the Chase Entertainment, in association with Diyne Media and New Way Productions. Directed by Chase Dudley (BLOOD ON THE BLEACHERS) and written by Gregory Blair and Charlie Brady, it stars NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4 and 5’s Lisa Wilcox (pictured above), Noel G., Kansas Bowling, Leonora Scelfo, Joshua A. Browning and Brian Patrick Thomas. According to the official synopsis, the movie “plunges audiences into the shadowy world of organ trafficking, where human lives are reduced to commodities and desperation comes with a deadly price. When a series of money-making schemes backfire, a luckless store manager and his waitress wife become unlikely outlaws. The couple runs for their lives from the police, a vigilante, and a psychopath.”
THE DESPERATE will have world premiere screenings Wednesday, September 30 and Thursday, October 1 at The Historic State Theater in Elizabethtown, KY. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, September 1 at 10 a.m.
