Exclusive trailer: The “STARSUCKERS” are coming to London’s FrightFest

Canadian independent filmmakers Brett and Jason Butler, a.k.a. The Butler Brothers (PURGATORY JACK, THE LAST ANNIVERSARY), will world-premiere their new movie STARSUCKERS at FrightFest 2026 this month, and we’ve got an exclusive first look at the trailer below. The festival runs at London’s Odeon Cinemas Leicester Square and West End August 27-31, and the STARSUCKERS premiere takes place Friday the 28th at 3:45 p.m. An additional FrightFest @ the Arzner screening will be held on Saturday, September 5. A combination of horror and celebrity-culture satire, it stars Manon Ens-Lapointe, Steven Hobé, James Alex, Jersey Anderson and Jacob Stickles. The synopsis: “The story follows Chuck and Eileen, an ordinary couple who win an exclusive weekend getaway with glamorous celebrity icons Bjorg Everglow and Sasha Nightshade. Their dream escape quickly spirals into murder, manipulation, and psychological games as the celebrity couple reveals increasingly disturbing intentions. What unfolds is an unpredictable thriller that skewers our obsession with status, influence, and the intoxicating promise of living someone else’s life.”

“FrightFest has built an incredible reputation for championing original genre filmmaking,” say the Butlers. “We’re thrilled to bring STARSUCKERS to London and experience it with one of the world’s most passionate festival audiences.” Further festival and release plans will be announced following the FrightFest debut.
