Another “[CARGO]” opens this summer; poster, trailer, novel and soundtrack info/art

Not to be confused with the Martin Freeman-starring zombie drama, [CARGO] is a confinement thriller in the BURIED mold set for release in August. Read on for the info, key art and trailer, plus info on the novelization and the soundtrack by a member of cult group Tangerine Dream.

Wild Eye Releasing brings [CARGO] to VOD August 14, with a DVD to follow. James Dylan wrote and directed the film, which stars Ron Thompson, Jose Rosete, Eliot, Mark Wood, Corbin Timbrook, Danika Fields, J.C. Macek III and Matthew Rosvally. The synopsis: “A millionaire businessman [Thompson] awakens trapped inside a metal cargo container with only a cell phone. He is given 24 hours by his abductors to raise $10 million of his own ransom or die.”

Macek, who also produced the movie with Dylan and Christopher Gosch, wrote the book adaptation that was recently published by Bloodhound Books, and is also available at Amazon.com. In addition, the score by Tangerine Dream frontman Thorsten Quaeschning can be ordered at Amazon.com on import CD and vinyl.
