Fantastic Pavilion Brings Shudder/IFC Films And Genre Distributor Severin Films Together In Historic Deal

As reported by Variety, Fantastic Pavilion, the genre film business community launched at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023, has brought two horror giants together for a deal that should have fans screaming for joy (and in terror). Los Angeles-based home video distributor Severin Films and Shudder/IFC Films have forged a partnership that will see the cult DVD and Blu-Ray label releasing eleven special physical media editions of the horror streamer’s most popular original and licensed features.

According to Variety, the first six discs will be Joko Anwar’s Satan’s Slaves (2017), Brandon Cronenberg’s Antiviral (2012), Can Evrenol’s Baskin (2015), Franck Khalfoun’s 2012 Maniac remake, Douglas Buck’s 2006 remake of Sisters and André Øvredal’s The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016).

Severin Film’s co-founder-CEO David Gregory, Shudder’s Vice President of Programming Sam Zimmerman and AMC Networks Director of Content Sales Lucas Verga negotiated the deal.
