April 2023 Short Horror Releases on ALTER

If you’re into short horror, the folks at ALTER have you covered.  Rue Morgue wants to make sure you’re up-to-date on all of the cool stuff they have coming up, so each month we’ll be highlighting their upcoming releases.  Take a look at what they have planned for April 2023:

The End of the Squirrel (April 3)
Director: Michael Christensen
An irreverent indie apocalypse film about two siblings stranded in an antique shop waiting for the impending zombie horde to break in and end their lives.

Kickstart My Heart (April 10)
Director: Kelsey Bollig
After a gruesome car accident, a young woman fights her mind’s three levels of hell to survive.

Sweet Under (April 17)

After receiving a housewarming rug from his sister, a Cambodian adoptee discovers a dark history hidden underneath its surface.

Baby Boom (April 20)
Director: Thomas Lunde
The middle-aged alcoholic Runar believes he has scored the perfect date. Things take a strange turn when he realizes he’s impregnated with her alien eggs.

The Trunk (April 24)
Director: Travis Laidlaw
A father and daughter find a chained up old chest hidden in the woods. They bring it home with plans to sell its contents, but quickly discover that what’s inside was locked up for a reason.
