December 2022 Short Horror Releases on ALTER

If you’re into short horror, the folks at ALTER have you covered.  Rue Morgue wants to make sure you’re up-to-date on all of the cool stuff they have coming up, so each month we’ll be highlighting their upcoming releases.  Take a look at what they have planned for December 2022:

Penumbra (December 1)
Director: Daniel Byers
When Dori’s sister Fae returns from a recovery center, Dori begins to suspect someone is stalking her. But what’s coming for them is not of this world.

The Sound (December 6)
Director: Jason-Christopher Mayer
Two years after a woman experiences sudden hearing loss, strange things begin to happen.

Creator (December 8)
Director: Andre LeBlanc
A computer designed to flag violent internet content starts creating its own, with its inventors as the subjects.

EVA (December 13)
Director: Gonzalo Llorente
Eva lives in isolation due to a great pandemic. After discovering that she is pregnant, she senses something bad will happen to her baby after delivery. She sinks into despair, not knowing how to avoid this obscure destiny.

The Unlocking (December 15)
Director: Thomas Matthew Brush
Elliot struggles with OCD, locking his door all night, every night. One night he decides to not lock the door and is horrified when he encounters a strange intruder.

Snow Globe (December 20)
Director: Christopher Ryan Laughter
A fed up housewife at the edge of reality is planning to murder her husband on Christmas Eve, but when three questionable packages arrive under her tree she must confront her intentions through a magical exploration of time and perspective.

You Missed a Spot (December 22)
Director: Liam Walsh
In a world where everyone is a clown, a mime must defeat a masked killer to save the girl of his dreams.

The Gate (December 27)
Director: Matt Westrup
A scientific adviser heads an investigation into a series of bizarre deaths that leaves each victim’s body horribly deformed and soon discovers that the cause has potentially devastating consequences for us all.

Kiddo (December 29)
Director: Brett Chapman
