Spanish duo Robert Ramos Cata and Toni Cuesta are the creators of a three-part horror passion project Freakland comprised of a fanzine, a prop and collectible store, and a festival called Festerror that takes place in Lloret de Mar, Spain.
Festerror festival is a yearly event for horror film fans. International screenings take place and an assortment of special celebrity guests are in attendance. A few past celebrities include Ruggero Deodato, Caroline Munro, Giovanni Lombard Radice, Bobby Rhodes, and many more.
Freakland Fanzine currently has three limited edition Spanish language magazines full of information on actors, movies and all things horror. The fourth edition is in the works and will certainly sell out fast.
Finally, the Freakland the props and collectibles store is where talented sculptors and artists show their love for cult films through creating incredible limited art pieces like the Big Ben replica prop created by Julio Mestre. From the Steve Miner film House (1985), Big Ben as this replica depicts is the ghost of the tortured soldier Big Ben, the main antagonist of the film was portrayed by Richard Moll, who also played Bull Shannon on the TV comedy series Night Court. The replica stands 9 inches tall, including base. Made from resin material and hand painted, this limited edition collectible ships out this week at a cost of $135 USD (plus shipping). Another amazing piece is the collectable Tombs of the blind dead bust by sculptor Domingo Lizcano.
