It’s the first FOUND Original produced by the team behind the platform.
FOUND TV, the streaming service devoted to found-footage horror, will exclusively debut its in-house production A POSSESSION IN LINCOLN COUNTY later this year. Louie La Vella directed from a script by Monica La Vella; the synopsis describes it as “a tense, stripped-down story of desperation and consequence, as a man turns to a demonic ritual to save his dying wife, only to learn that hell doesn’t give second chances…it takes souls.”
The cast and characters: “Matt Gallagher stars as Jake, a desperate husband pushed beyond moral limits. Sabrina Knappett plays Juliet, Jake’s ailing wife at the center of his unraveling. Hannah Brennen portrays Rebecca, Juliet’s nurse and the victim of Jake’s escalating actions. JoAnn Bundock appears as the psychic who introduces Jake to a dangerous ritual, following her role in the found-footage film GODFORSAKEN.”
“We’ve always believed that filmmaking should be accessible to anyone, not just those with big budgets or studio backing,” Louie La Vella tells RUE MORGUE. “Found footage, in particular, proves that you can tell a great story with very little, as long as you understand the craft. With the right training and creativity, anyone can make a film. That’s why this project is so special to us, especially seeing our 15-year-old son take on the full edit as his feature debut.”
Adds Monica La Vella, “This film represents everything we stand for as storytellers and as a platform. You don’t need massive resources to create something meaningful, especially in a genre like found footage where authenticity matters. We’re incredibly proud not only of the film itself, but of the journey behind it.”
