While we’re prepping to tag-and-bag 2025, studios are diligently ramping up to unleash new horrors for 2026. Marrow is one exceptionally buzz-worthy property due to a cast headlined by Danielle Harris and the legendary Michael Ironside, and a new vodcast tie-in may be the source of forthcoming details on the film.
EMBRACING THE PARADOX has a handful of episodes under its belt and features host Distal Marrow discussing all the creepy crawlies that keep the horror faithful awake into the wee hours. But is the flame-maned hostess’ aim to feed into the naturally morbid curiosities of genre fans, or are her motivations far more nuanced?

“Let me take you on a journey.”
That’s the invitation offered by Distal Marrow, hostess of the EMBRACING THE PARADOX vodcast, which invites viewers to explore the world of cryptids, the supernatural, true crime and all that goes bump in the night. Broadcasting from her isolated cabin, each episode finds Distal exploring a different avenue of unexplored urban lore or taking a new perspective on familiar favorites, with viewers encouraged to provide their own thoughts, feedback and stories of encounters with the supernatural. Episodes will also feature guests, including an appearance by criminal psychologist Sam Loomis to discuss the Slender Man phenomenon. Distal promises to present each tale from her own unique perspective as someone whose career path “once allowed her a peek behind the bloodstained curtains of humanity,” though precisely what that career was remains a bit of a mystery—much like the subjects of the show.
In keeping with EMBRACING THE PARADOX’S esoteric subject matter, behind the scenes details are scarce (even including its broadcast location), beyond the vodcast being personally financed by digital media mogul Camilla Moore. While no one directly involved with the program wished to offer further comment, citing concerns for the hostess’ privacy and safety, the episodes broadcast so far and other available information offer some tantalizing clues to something bigger. Photos of Moore appear to depict scream queen Danielle Harris, while Distal Marrow herself bears a striking resemblance to Jessica Dawn Willis, star of 2023’s The Woman Under the Stage (dir. Ezekiel Decker). Those bits of data indicate that Paradox may be part of an ARG tied into the recently completed true crime horror Marrow, directed by Mitch McLeod (Silhouette) and anticipated for release in 2026. Will EMBRACING THE PARADOX form a prequel to the film? Is it a spinoff project? The Marrow filmmakers are being tight-lipped about this one, so you’ll have to tune in and see where the journey takes you!
Marrow was directed by Mitch McLeod from a script by McLeod, Willis and Preston Fassel (Our Lady of the Inferno), based on an original story by McLeod and Willis that was inspired by true events. The film stars Danielle Harris, Michael Ironside, Matthew Tompkins, Ashley Spicer and Phil Harrison. McLeod, Willis and Tompkins produced alongside Carlos Cortez and Jon Keeyes. EMBRACING THE PARADOX’s key art was designed by Marc Rouse. Marrow is a production of Dallas-based Absentia Pictures.
