Spanned Canyons

Toronto experimental musical duo Gary Gahan and Pete Nickerson, collectively known as Spanned Canyons, have just dropped a chilling video for “FORMIDABLE,” a track from their new concept album and ode to icy death, The Only Perfect Way for This to End.

Directed by Gordon Lightfont and shot in Northern Ontario, the unsettling clip combines narrative elements of survivalist, slasher, eco, camping, and found-footage horror, perfectly complementing Spanned Canyon’s atmospheric ambient music. Featuring grainy visuals reminiscent of fading images from a deteriorating VHS tape, “FORMIDABLE” is a disturbing nightmare of campfire smoke and shadows, rendered in sound and vision. Experience it now, only at RUE MORGUE!

Stream or purchase The Only Perfect Way for This to End at Spanned Canyon’s official Bandcamp page.
