It’s the new horror film from the duo behind the award-winning PURGATORY JACK.

Writers/directors/producers/cinematographers/editors Brett Butler and Jason Butler, a.k.a. The Butler Brothers, have THE LAST ANNIVERSARY set to world premiere at Mexico City’s Macabro film festival, where it will play August 23 and 24. It stars Jesse McQueen, Kenneth Northfield, Ry Barrett (IN A VIOLENT NATURE), Kevin Courtney, Manon Ens-Lapointe, Honor Spencer, Jenna Vittoria, Michael Masurkevitch and Jessica Vano; the synopsis: “On the eve of the apocalypse, married couple Tom [Northfield] and Aubrey [McQueen] invite their old wedding party to the now-abandoned hotel where they were wed. A final celebration. A last chance to cherish love, friendship, memories, and the end of the world. But the invitation holds a darker purpose. Ten years ago, their maid of honor Brenda [Vittoria] vanished without a trace on their wedding night. No one speaks of it. No one remembers what really happened, or so they say, and Tom and Aubrey want answers. As the guests arrive nostalgia curdles into dread. The hotel itself seems to breathe with secrets, and visions of Brenda–half-ghost, half-memory–begin to stalk the corridors. Is she haunting them…or are they haunting themselves?”
