The guest list keeps growing for the 2018 Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival, which takes place in New York City next month and includes a number of movies that take the scary approach to sci-fi.
The fest takes place at theaters in Manhattan and Queens from February 23-25. Genre-fave actor Michael Ironside has just joined the guest lineup, attending the world premiere of Serge Levin’s ALTERSCAPE (pictured) on Friday, February 23; joining him will be castmates Charles Baker, Mack Kuhr, Olan Montgomery, Sara K. Edwards and others, along with director Levin. The Saturday, February 24 world premiere of Jeremiah Kipp’s BLACK WAKE, which we previously told you about here, will be followed by a Q&A with stars Nana Gouvea, Tom Sizemore, Vincent Pastore, Jonny Beauchamp and Chuck Zito.
Also in the lineup are the East Coast premiere (Friday the 23rd) of AYLA, by director Elias, reuniting with his GUT stars Nicholas Wilder and Sarah Schoofs, also featuring Tristan Risk (AMERICAN MARY) and horror veteran Dee Wallace; the U.S. premiere (Saturday the 24th) of THE WANDERERS: THE QUEST OF THE DEMON HUNTER from Romanian filmmaker Dragos Buliga, starring Armand Assante (who will attend), and the New York City premiere (Saturday the 24th) of Michael Melski’s THE CHILD REMAINS, starring Suzanne Clément, Allan Hawco, Shelley Thompson and Géza Kovács. There will also be other sci-fi features and a number of short-film blocks, winding up with an awards ceremony on Sunday night, February 25.
