On September 24, 2024, award-winning author and essayist Xueting C. Ni and publisher Solaris Books will reveal the terrors of contemporary life from a uniquely Chinese point of view with the publication of SINOPHAGIA: A CELEBRATION OF CHINESE HORROR,

With SINOPHAGIA, Ni, editor and translator of the British Fantasy Award-winning Sinopticon has curated fourteen tales of modern terror from present-day China from some of the most compelling voices in horror, including such well-known and up-and-coming authors as Hong Niangzi, Fan Zhou, Chu Xidao, She Cong Ge, Chuan Ge, Goodnight, Xiaoqing, Zhou Dedong, Nanpai Sanshu, Yimei Tangguo, Chi Hui, Zhou Haohui, Su Min, Cai Jun and Gu Shi.

From frightening visions of a mysterious red umbrella to the waking nightmares of the virtual workplace, this all-new anthology avoids the folkloric tropes and cliches so familiar in much of Asian horror to provide a new perspective on China’s unique and diverse take on the genre.

Solaris Books was kind enough to share the cover art by illustrator Alyssa Winans exclusively with RUE MORGUE
