The TOKYO GORE POLICE director has unleashed more stylish splatter.
Void Signal now has HOLY MOTHER out on digital platforms. Written and directed by Yoshihiro Nishimura, whose other credits include MUTANT GIRLS SQUAD and HELLDRIVER, it stars Anna Nagasaki, AUDITION’s Eihi Shiina, Yudai Uenishi, Miyuki Torii, Masanori Mimoto (who also served as action director), Natsumi Tadano and Koji Sorata. The synopsis: “A silent, unstoppable transwoman rises to fight a brutal organization tearing through the city. As yakuza fall and heads roll, her ruthless methods ignite a gory showdown of chainsaws, lasers, and nonstop carnage.”
Void Signal has also released MAR.IA, directed by Gabriel Grieco and Nicanor Loreti from Loreti’s screenplay, starring Daria Panchenko as an abused adult-film star who is transformed into a vengeful cyborg, and THE HEALING, directed by Denis Kryuchkov from a script by Olga Loyanich and Robert Orr, in which a woman escapes her abusive husband and winds up in a mysterious retreat where dark rituals take place.
