“WORDS TO DIE BY” is a party game with fatal consequences; details and crowdfunding info

Outrageous death scenes are the name of this game.

Creator Duane Freeman has taken inspiration from an number of classic screen demises for the card game WORDS TO DIE BY. It’s described as “a party game of theatrical horror flair, dark humor, and absurdly over-the-top death scenes. Players take on the roles of writers, directors, and actors, crafting the most ridiculous final moments imaginable. Each round, the Director selects a Death Scene card, while players submit Dying Words to fit the moment. The Director adds a surprise Director’s Cut twist—like slow motion or a pirate accent—before everyone acts out their demise. Awards are given for the best performances and writing, and the first to earn three nominations must deliver a dramatic acceptance speech…with an unexpected twist. Prepare for a night of deadly fun and award-winning absurdity!”

More information can be found at the Kickstarter page that has been opened for WORDS TO DIE BY, offering various Deluxe and other editions. Check out a promotional video below.
