Mick Taylor isn’t finished hunting vacationers Down Under.
Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting have announced that production has begun on WOLF CREEK LEGACY in South Australia. Greg McLean, who helmed the two previous WOLF CREEK movies, is producing with Kristian Moliere (THE BABADOOK), Bianca Martino (THE DARKNESS) and Jeremy Bolt (RESIDENT EVIL). Sean Lahiff (CARNIFEX) is directing from a script by Duncan Samarasinghe; John Jarratt is back as Mick Taylor, joined this time by Ditch Davey, Laura Gordon (LATE NIGHT WITH THE DEVIL), Stacy Clausen, Charli Penton, Anni Finsterer, Meg Fraser, Carlos Sanson Jr., Maria Thattil, Connor Pullinger and Michael Teng, from the hit Australian TV series TRAVEL GUIDES, in his first acting role. The synopsis: “WOLF CREEK LEGACY centers on an American family on a dream trip to the Australian Outback, who soon draw the attention of serial killing pig-shooter Mick Taylor. A hellish nightmare ensues as the couple’s two children escape, only to be hunted by the infamous killer.”
Cineverse has North American distribution rights to WOLF CREEK LEGACY, and is planning a wide theatrical release. “We’re thrilled to be bringing Aussie horror icon Mick Taylor back to the screen,” McLean says. “As the creator of WOLF CREEK, I can’t wait for audiences to experience the next chapter of this franchise—bigger, darker, and more relentless than ever.
