“Windy City Horrorama” to haunt Chicago for Second Year

By ROCCO THOMPSON

Just announced, Windy City Horrorama will bring the fright back to Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood for its sophomore run! The inaugural festival’s 2018 highlights included a 25th anniversary screening of Adam Marcus’s JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY (1993), along with the city’s premiere of his latest feature, SECRET SANTA (2018). Fan favorite RUIN ME (2017) also screened with Horrorama before its Summer release through Shudder, and a centerpiece showcase featured some of the most exciting indie horror work happening in Chicago, including the world premiere of Jason Coffman’s debut feature HOUSESITTERS (2018).

The historic Davis Theater will host the festival once again from April 26th – April 28th, 2019. Creators Matt Storc and Alex Vazquez promise to continue their mission to celebrate the inclusive, DIY spirit of the Midwest horror community by curating a diverse and exciting collection of films of all lengths, budgets and subgenres, and pairing them with insightful Q&As, fun surprises and killer parties!
