Fans of rampageous reptiles have two reasons to smile today.

Well Go USA has released its trailer for CROCODILE ISLAND (pictured above), an Asian monster mash it will release on digital platforms and DVD November 21. Directed by Shixing Xu and Simon Zhao, it stars Gallen Lo, Yinyue Liao and Bingxiang Wang. The synopsis: “After their plane makes an emergency landing near the Devil’s Sea–the enigmatic Bermuda Triangle of the Pacific–the stranded passengers are left to fight for their lives on a remote island filled with vicious, man-eating crocodiles.” Giant spiders, too!

Meanwhile, a new horror film called TIK/CROC has been announced by Film Mode Entertainment and Jaggi Entertainment; it’s about to start preproduction and will make its sales premiere at the upcoming American Film Market. Scripted by Ryan Meharry and Yasmin Kassim, with a director and cast to be announced, the movie will shoot in Queensland, Australia. The synopsis: “In TIK/CROC, an enormous crocodile makes headlines when its terrifying rampage is caught on social media. With the world’s eyes set on witnessing the beast in action, a local high school student, desperate for cash and fame, sets out on a dangerous mission to capture it all on her TikTok account.”

“We’re thrilled to be working with the prolific Jaggi Entertainment on TIK/CROC, a relevant and fresh take on a classic beloved genre, including the magic and mayhem that social media has brought to the world at large, and has been ingrained in so many of us,” says Clay Epstein, president of Film Mode Entertainment and executive producer on the project. “The film will also attract a new generation of fans evident by the hugely successful COCAINE BEAR.”

“We’re excited to be taking this evolutionary step into the adventure/horror genre with TIK/CROC,” says producer and Jaggi Entertainment CEO Steve Jaggi. “Queensland, with its tropical landscape, is the perfect location to shoot a croc movie. Married with a modern twist on the genre courtesy of a great script by Yasmin Kassim and Ryan Meharry, we can’t wait to get started.”
