HorrorBabble returns with a new installment from “The Horror of Horacio Quiroga” reading series. This week: The Spectre.

Horacio Quiroga was a Uruguayan author, born in Salto in 1878. As a follower of modernism, and an admirer of the works of Edgar Allan Poe and Guy de Maupassant, Quiroga was compelled to author works addressing the nature of man and beast, often through use of the supernatural and the bizarre.
