A house with a horrible history is at the center of the new fright film.

Vertical Entertainment will release ABANDONED in theaters June 17 and on VOD/digital platforms June 24. Directed by Spencer Squire and scripted by Erik Patterson and Jessica Scott, it stars Emma Roberts (THE HUNT, AMERICAN HORROR STORY), John Gallagher Jr. (10 CLOVERFIELD LANE, HUSH), Paul Schneider and Michael Shannon (THE SHAPE OF WATER). The synopsis: “ABANDONED follows the sharply intense lives of Sara [Roberts], her husband Alex [Gallagher], and their infant son as they move into a remote farmhouse, which harbors a dark, tragic history. As their home’s past is revealed, the mother’s fragility escalates to a state of psychosis that jeopardizes her own safety and that of her newborn son.”
