A new gang of backwoods killers is poised to break out next month, with the original screenwriter guiding them.
Saban Films has announced that the reimagining of WRONG TURN will hit theaters January 26 as a Fathom Events presentation (tickets go on sale here January 8). Alan B. McElroy, who scripted the very first WRONG TURN, returned to write this one, with Mike P. Nelson directing. Charlotte Vega, Adain Bradley, Bill Sage (WE ARE WHAT WE ARE), Emma Dumont, Dylan McTee, Daisy Head, Tim DeZarn and Matthew Modine star; the synopsis: “Backwoods terror and never-jangling suspense meet when Jen [Vega] and a group of friends set out to hike the Appalachian Trail. Despite warnings to stick to the trail, the hikers stray off course—and cross into land inhabited by The Foundation, a hidden community of mountain dwellers who use deadly means to protect their way of life. Suddenly under siege, Jen and her friends seem headed to the point of no return–unless Jen’s father [Modine] can reach them in time.”
