Take a trip with a shocking ending next month.

Oscilloscope Laboratories releases VULCANIZADORA to select theaters May 2. Written, directed and edited by Joel Potrykus (APE, BUZZARD, RELAXER), who also stars with Joshua Burge, it was shot on 16mm film and won a Special Jury Mention for Best Performance at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival and the AQCC Award at the 2024 Fantasia International Film Festival. The synopsis: “Two friends trudge through a Michigan forest with the intention of following through on a disturbing pact. Once their plan goes shockingly awry, the haunting consequences of their failure can’t stay hidden for long.”

Potrykus will accompany screenings of VULCANIZADORA during its opening weekend at New York City’s IFC Center; click here for more info. He has also programmed a series of midnight movies at IFC Center that begins this weekend, and includes MAD MAX, THE EVIL DEAD, PSYCHO II and THE BEAVER TRILOGY.
