The highly anticipated new feature from the director of THE WITCH is coming this October, and you can check out the new trailer for it past the jump.

THE LIGHTHOUSE, directed by Robert Eggers from a script he wrote with Max Eggers and shot in glorious black and white, arrives in theaters October 18. Willem Dafoe stars as a lighthouse keeper on an island off the New England coast in the 1890s who takes on a new assistant (Robert Pattinson). There’s tension between them from the start, and their situation soon becomes hallucinatory and horrifying as well.
