Take a twisted descent into rural terror this summer.

Brainstorm Media brings STARVE ACRE, based on the award-winning novel by Andrew Michael Hurley, to theaters and VOD platforms July 26. Written and directed by Daniel Kokotajlo (the acclaimed APOSTASY), it stars Matt Smith (LAST NIGHT IN SOHO), Morfydd Clark (SAINT MAUD), Erin Richards, Arthur Shaw, Robert Emms, Sean Gildern and Melanie Kilburn. The folk-horror story is set in rural Yorkshire during the 1970s; the synopsis: “When their son starts acting strangely, a couple unwittingly allow dark and sinister forces into their home, awakening a long-dormant ancient evil rooted deep in the countryside.”
