Tony Todd horror movie “BITCH ASS” gets distribution and a date

The festival award-winner is coming in time for Halloween.

Quiver Distribution has announced its acquisition of North American rights to BITCH ASS, which won the Midnighter’s Audience Award at this year’s SXSW, and has set an October 14 release date. Written and directed by Bill Posely, it stars Teon Kelley, Tunde Laleye, Me’lisa Sellers and genre fave Tony Todd. The synopsis: “Blending comedy, horror, and social commentary, BITCH ASS tells the story of a gang initiation gone wrong when a group of four recruits break into a house of horror and are forced by Bitch Ass [Laleye] to play deadly games for their lives. Win and you live–lose and you die.”

“Following an enthusiastic reception at SXSW, we look forward to bringing BITCH ASS to horror fans across America who will undoubtedly appreciate the mix of comedy and thrills Bill brings to this unique genre film,” say Quiver co-presidents Berry Meyerowitz and Jeff Sackman.
