Yes, a killer hat–and it’s opposed by a talking napkin. Curious?

DeskPop Entertainment has announced its acquisition of the offbeat comedy/horror film HANKY PANKY, which will debut April 19 on Prime Video, Google Play, VUDU and Apple. Winner of multiple festival awards, it was directed by Lindsey Haun (whose acting credits include VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED and SHROOMS) and Nick Roth from Roth’s script. The duo also star along with Jacob DeMonte-Finn, Ashley Holliday Tavares, Christina Laskay, Anthony Rutowicz, Clare Grant, Azure Parsons and Toby Bryan, with Seth Green (IDLE HANDS, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) as the voice of the murderous Harry the Hat. Harry is the villain terrorizing a group of friends vacationing at a mountain cabin in Utah, and one of those opposing it is a talking, horny napkin belonging to one of the characters. And that’s not the only weirdness going on…

“We’re excited for this weird little labor of love to reach a wide audience,” say Haun and Roth. “We hope that everyone will spend their 4/20 weekend with us, in a cabin, in the woods with a talking napkin and a possessed hat.” Says DeskPop vice president Mat Levy, “We’re so excited to be a part of helping audiences connect with a film that we can only possibly describe as the one film we’ve ever seen where a napkin fights a hat for the fate of humanity. Lindsey and Nick are enormous talents, and we can’t wait to see what they do next.”
