Edgar Wright, who brilliantly combined humor with horror in SHAUN OF THE DEAD, is now tackling a straight spine-tingler, and he’s got the lead from a couple of recent genre hits joining him.

Variety reports that Anya Taylor-Joy, who first won attention in Robert Eggers’ THE WITCH (pictured) and then appeared in M. Night Shyamalan’s SPLIT and GLASS, will be one of the stars of Wright’s upcoming LAST NIGHT IN SOHO. The film, written by the director and PENNY DREADFUL scribe Krysty Wilson-Cairns, is set to roll this summer in London for Focus Features and Working Title. The plot is being kept under wraps, but the movie has been described as a psychological horror-thriller set in London’s Soho district. Taylor-Joy will next be seen in Fox’s dark-superhero feature THE NEW MUTANTS and the Netflix series THE DARK CRYSTAL: AGE OF RESISTANCE.
