“THE WITCH” star joins Katie Holmes in “THE BOY 2,” rolling in January

Ralph Ineson, the patriarch from THE WITCH (pictured), will be part of another supernatural situation when he takes part in the sequel to THE BOY in January. Owain Yeoman (THE BELKO EXPERIMENT) has also been added to the ensemble.

STXfilms and Lakeshore Entertainment have announced that Ineson will play Joseph and Yeoman will play Sean, the husband of previously cast Katie Holmes’ Liza, in THE BOY 2, which begins production in Victoria, British Columbia January 14. Director William Brent Bell and screenwriter Stacey Menear are both encoring from the original film. The synopsis: “Unaware of the terrifying history of Heelshire Mansion, a young family moves into the estate, where their young son [Christopher Convery as Jude] soon makes an unsettling new friend, an eerily lifelike doll he calls Brahms.” STX will distribute in the U.S., though a release date has yet to be determined.
