Robin Hardy’s folk-horror masterpiece will soon see Stateside release looking sharper than ever.
Lionsgate has announced an October 17 street date for 1973’s THE WICKER MAN on Steelbook 4K UHD/Blu-ray/digital. The saga of police sergeant Howie (Edward Woodward) as his search for a missing girl leads him to the pagan island colony of Lord Summerisle (Christopher Lee), directed by Hardy from Anthony Shaffer’s script, will be presented in 1.85:1 widescreen on both discs, with LPCM English mono sound on the UHD and DTS-HD Master Audio English mono on the Blu-ray.
