He’s a little killer. He’s a lonely one. He’s the chill creeping up your spine telling you to run. Lestat has been on our screens for two fantastic seasons of Interview With The Vampire and is at last taking the mic. And he’s going all out.
THE VAMPIRE LESTAT, featuring Sam Reid as Lestat de Lioncourt, is back, pleasing fledglings and fans worldwide with the debut of “All Fall Down,” the second official rock single from the show’s soundtrack ahead of its premiere this June. AMC Networks and Lakeshore Records launched Vampire Lestat artist profile pages just before the release of the newest single on major digital music services, including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music, feeding the anticipation of additional songs in the coming months. The series’ new exhilarating opening title sequence featuring the single has also been released.
The original music and lyrics for THE VAMPIRE LESTAT, including “All Fall Down,” were created by series composer Daniel Hart (The Green Knight, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints) and performed by Sam Reid. Last month, they released Lestat’s first single, “Long Face,” a bold, cheekily vampiric entrance to the scene.
In the upcoming rock and roll-centric season, Lestat goes on an electric multi-city tour while being haunted by “muses” from his wild and rebellious past. As his band’s popularity and star power rise, so does Lestat’s influence over vampires and humans alike, leaving others to contend with Lestat’s power in the face of the Great Conversion, an unnatural surge in the vampire population. THE VAMPIRE LESTAT also stars Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles and Jennifer Ehle.
“‘All Fall Down’ is both the title track for the new season and the idea for a song by the Vampire Lestat from early in the band’s life,” says Hart. “Much like ‘Long face,’ it feels heavily influenced by Bowie, T. Rex and other ’70s rock’n’roll stars who were looking back to the blues as much as they were looking up to the stars for inspiration. ‘All Fall Down’ marks a time in this vampire band’s life when they were still figuring out exactly what their sound was, and before Lestat himself started to change personas and explore other musical styles.”
THE VAMPIRE LESTAT premieres on Sunday, June 7 on AMC and AMC+. If the suspense is killing you, check out the opening titles below.
