The Sixth Chamber Premieres “Walpurgis Night” Lyric Video

Friday, April 16, 2021 | Exclusives

Mythical mysterians, The Sixth Chamber have just released a vampiric ode to the centuries titled “Walpurgis Night!”

Taking its name from 18th-century mystic, William Blake (whose “Sixth Chamber” has been interpreted as a library in hell where all of the world’s secrets are kept in books on shelves), Band founder Rahne Pistor started the group in the early 2000s. Before this, he got his start as a teenager playing Misfits classics at CBGBs and elsewhere with Misfits guitarist Bobby Steele and Steve Zing of Danzig in Steele’s band, The Undead. The current lineup includes legendary keyboardist Alan St. Jon of Alice Cooper, Billy Squier, Iggy Pop, etc. With fourteen Platinum album awards to his credit with various groups and working regularly with famed producer Desmond Child, St. Jon ranks among the most accomplished keyboardists in rock. The Sixth Chamber are currently at work on their third full-length album.

A song with a uniquely enchanting doomy gothic metal sound, the animated lyric video for “Walpurgis Night” is based on vampiric lore and 19th-century gothic novels.
