The giant carnivorous worms follow their Universal direct-to-video stablemate Chucky’s lead and head to a more frigid environment in TREMORS: A COLD DAY IN HELL. Read on for the full details of the disc release, along with the trailer and cover art.

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment releases COLD DAY IN HELL on a Blu-ray/DVD/digital combo pack, DVD and VOD May 1. Director Don Michael Paul, screenwriter John Whelpley and stars Michael Gross and Jamie Kennedy all return from the previous TREMORS 5: BLOODLINES; the movie also stars Tanya Van Graan and Jamie-Lee Money. The synopsis: “Burt Gummer [Gross] and his son Travis Welker [Kennedy] find themselves up to their ears in Graboids and Ass-Blasters when they head to Canada to investigate a series of deadly giant worm attacks. Arriving at a remote research facility in the arctic tundra, Burt begins to suspect that Graboids are secretly being weaponized, but before he can prove his theory, he is sidelined by Graboid venom. With just 48 hours to live, the only hope is to create an antidote from fresh venom—but to do that, someone will have to figure out how to milk a Graboid!”

The movie will be presented in 1.78:1 widescreen with DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio on the Blu-ray and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound on the DVD. The bonus features are:

  • “The Making of TREMORS: A COLD DAY IN HELL,” with the filmmakers, cast and crew
  • “Anatomy of a Scene,” focusing on the first underwater Graboid attack
  • “Inside Chang’s Market”
