The horror/comedy that has knocked out audiences at festivals worldwide over the past year is coming to Stateside screens.

EXTRA ORDINARY, written and directed by Mike Ahern and Enda Loughman, will hit theaters March 6 from Cranked Up Productions/Good Deed Entertainment. It stars Maeve Higgins, Barry Ward, Will Forte (pictured), Risteárd Cooper, Jamie Beamish, Terri Chandler and Claudia O’Doherty; the synopsis: “Rose [Higgins], a mostly sweet and mostly lonely Irish small-town driving instructor, must use her supernatural talents to save the daughter of Martin [Ward], also mostly sweet and lonely, from a washed-up rock star [Forte] who is using her in a Satanic pact to reignite his fame.” This writer highly recommends it; my review in RUE MORGUE #192 (currently on sale) calls it “a very funny and also completely endearing film that has respect for both its characters and the supernatural.”
