The latest in the supernatural investigation franchise is set to scare you this summer.
THE CONJURING: THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT is set to open in theaters including IMAX June 4 from New Line Cinema, and will also be available on HBO Max for 31 days starting on that date. Michael Chaves (THE CURSE OF LA LLORONA) directed from a script by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (ORPHAN), based on a story by original director James Wan and Johnson-McGoldrick. Series stalwarts Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga take the leads again, joined by Ruairi O’Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook and Julian Hilliard. The synopsis: “THE CONJURING: THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT reveals a chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.”
