Terrors of the season: “BONE LAKE” and “NIGHT OF THE REAPER” get trailers

We’ve also got posters from the two fall fright releases.

Bleecker Street brings LD Entertainment’s BONE LAKE (pictured above) to theaters nationwide October 3. Directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan and written by Joshua Friedlander, it stars Maddie Hasson, Marco Pigossi, Alex Roe, Andra Nechita, Eliane Reis and Clayton Spencer. The synopsis: “A couple’s romantic vacation at a secluded lakeside estate is upended when they are forced to share the mansion with a mysterious and attractive couple. In this darkly hilarious and seductive horror story, a dream getaway spirals into a nightmarish maze of sex, lies, and manipulation, bringing terrifying secrets to light and triggering a bloody battle for survival.”

NIGHT OF THE REAPER, the latest from director Brandon Christensen (STILL/BORN, THE PUPPETMAN), begins streaming on Shudder September 19. Scripted by Brandon and Ryan Christensen, it stars Jessica Clement, Ryan Robbins, Summer H. Howell (CURSE and CULT OF CHUCKY, Carrie in Mike Flanagan’s upcoming series), Keegan Connor Tracy, Matty Finochio, Max Christensen, Ben Cockell, Bryn Samuel, Savannah Miller, Susan Serrao, Huxley Fisher, Isla Spencer, Blair Young, Drake Seipert and David Feehan as The Reaper. The synopsis: “In the heart of a quiet, 1980s suburb, college student Deena [Clement] returns home and reluctantly takes on a last-minute babysitting job. That same night, the local sheriff receives a cryptic package that pulls him into a sinister scavenger hunt that sets off a game of cat and mouse with a dangerous killer. As the clues unravel, Deena finds herself ensnared in a nightmarish mystery that she may not survive.”
