Teaser trailer and international poster appear for Fantasia-premiering Italian shocker “FERINE”

It’s a study of the predatory side of the human animal.

Writer/director Andrea Corsini’s FERINE will have its world premiere on Thursday, July 23 at Montreal’s Fantasia International Film Festival. It’s based on Corsini’s same-titled short film, which had its Canadian premiere at Fantasia, and the feature version was part of the Frontières Co-Production Market at the 2022 festival. Carolyn Bracken (ODDITY), Caroline Goodall, Paola Lavini, Elisabetta Caccamo, Marco Gambino and Fabrizio Odetto star, and veteran genre composer Pino Donaggio composed the score. The synopsis: “Irene [Bracken] is a wealthy, refined art collector who sees her life turned upside down by a tragic event that awakens a primal, uncontrollable instinct inside of her. Soon after, this new nature takes hold and destroys her privileged existence. Dama [Goodall] is a mysterious trafficker of exotic predators who is hunting a specimen that has escaped captivity when she discovers something unexpected: Irene. In her, she sees a new, irresistibly dangerous predator. A dark fate unites the two women, dragging them both toward an inevitable confrontation.”
