The fest favorite is being reworked by its creators on its way to theatrical play.

Welcome Villain Films has announced that it has picked up HUNT HER, KILL HER, which previously played festivals under the title NIGHT SHIFT. The distrib is giving the filmmakers the chance to complete the movie as they originally envisioned, ahead of a nationwide theatrical release March 3 with a digital release to follow. Greg Swinson and Ryan Thiessen directed from a script by Swinson; Natalie Terrazzino, JC Oakley III, Larry Bunton, Trevor Tucker, Philip Zimny, Hunter Tinney, Stephen Polson and Olivia Graves star. The synopsis: “HUNT HER, KILL HER follows a lone night shift janitor [Terrazzino] during her first night on the job who finds herself in an unexpected fight for survival when she becomes the target of sinister masked intruders. As their disturbing motives become clearer, she must use her crafty instincts and barbaric violence to make it through the night alive.”

“We poured years of blood, sweat and tears into making HUNT HER, KILL HER the most thrilling experience it can be, and we’re so excited that our film has found a team to support a proper release and get it in front of audiences nationwide,” say Swinson and Thiessen. “Welcome Villain is the perfect partner for HUNT HER, KILL HER. Like us, they are passionate about genre films and committed to getting this in front of the widest possible audience.”

“We screened Ryan and Greg’s movie, and it blew us away,” says Welcome Villain head of development Luke LaBeau. “We were also impressed by their ingenuity as they made the film for next to nothing, yet it looks and feels like a big cinematic endeavor. We’re immensely proud to announce HUNT HER, KILL HER as Welcome Villain’s first acquisition.”
